At present, the acceleration of globalization processes and the expansion of multilingual environments contribute to the increased interaction between cultures and languages. In this regard, traditional monolingual teaching models in linguodidactics are gradually losing their relevance. This necessitates the introduction of new approaches to the educational process, a revision of its theoretical and methodological foundations, the adaptation of existing teaching models, and the development of new teaching strategies. One of the promising methods today is the translanguaging approach. This method views language not as an isolated system but as an integral part of a learner's cognitive and communicative space. The theory of translanguaging is based on a number of fundamental scientific principles. Conducted studies define the key principles of the translanguaging method. In the process of language learning, when a learner actively uses two languages simultaneously, the phenomenon of interference can both create difficulties and facilitate the learning process. Such interference manifests at all linguistic levels. In general, language interference is an inevitable phenomenon in translanguaging education. However, with the use of effective methodologies, it can be managed and its negative impact minimized.
