In this study, the birth of the “Intellectual Movement” that emerged in Kazakhstan in the XIX century and the reflections of this movement will be discussed. The influence of the intellectuals of the XIX century on Kazakh society and their activities will be discussed. Information will be given about how these activities turned into nationalism with the political enlightenment in the first quarter of the XX century. The importance of the Enlightenment Movement in the second half of the XIX century in Kazakh history will be explained. In the study, general information about the Kazakh enlightenment thought and society in the period will be given, then how the first Kazakh intellectuals met and adopted enlightenment ideas, then the traces of enlightenment in Kazakh literature and art will be evaluated.
