TÜRKİYE İLE KAZAKİSTAN’IN LOJİSTİK PERFORMANSLARININ KARŞILAŞTIRILMASI: LPE VERİLERİ ÜZERİNDEN BİR İNCELEME

Logistics performance, which is one of the factors determining the efficiency of global trade, has a critical role in terms of economic integration and competitiveness. In this context, the logistics performance differences between Turkey and Kazakhstan in the 2007-2023 period are examined through a comparative analysis based on the World Bank's Logistics Performance Index (LPE) data. The LPE evaluates the logistics systems of countries based on six criteria: customs clearance, infrastructure, international transportation, logistics competence, tracking and tracing, and timeliness. The research reveals the structural differences between Turkey's success in international logistics competitiveness thanks to strategic reforms such as institutionalization, digital transformation and infrastructure modernization, and Kazakhstan's underperformance due to temporary improvements driven by foreign investment and lack of institutionalization in the domestic sector. The comparative analysis aims to identify the strengths and weaknesses of both countries' logistics operations and provide policymakers and industry stakeholders with concrete recommendations on strategic reform and investment priorities.
