The article examines the level of usage, morpheme structure, sound, and meaning changes of M. Kashkari's profession and industry lexemes in the modern Kyrgyz language. The article has a topical character due to its role in determining the relationship between the lexicons of profession and industry in Mahmut Kashkari's work "Divanu lugati-t Turk" and the modern Kyrgyz language, and the fact that the Kyrgyz language is one of the ancient Turkic languages. The purpose of the research is to compare the lexemes of profession and industry with their appearance in the modern Kyrgyz language, and to determine the changes in the phenomenon of linguistic development. The research was carried out on the basis of the historical-comparative method. The object of the research is the Kyrgyz translations of M. Kashkari's work "Divanu lugati-t Turk". As a result, in the article, the lexemes of profession and industry in the dictionary were compared with the modern Kyrgyz language, morpheme structure, semantic shifts, phonetic changes were investigated and the level of usage was determined as follows: - trade and industry lexemes used in the ancient sound pattern while preserving their meaning: a healer, a guard, a tall man, a man of great skill in his profession; - words used by phonetically changing: jorçı, ätükçi, savçı, suroğçı, ovçı, uvçı, bilgä, jırağu; - words with the same meaning, but with a different name: atım, karaçı, bıruq, sart, äğät, umduçı, arquçı, washer, ağıçı, arqış, uzmaq, buşğut, ağıçı, arkuchi, jalafaç, ätmäkçi, ätçi, otaçi, jorığçi, yugyrçi, salçı, tarığçi, ügitçi, otaçi, shepherd, tigin, sagun, tuzum, murap, imga.
