ABSTRACT Food security depends heavily on agricultural activities to drive the world economy. However, due to climate change and improper use of irrigation techniques, this activity is under great threat. As a result, many lives are at risk around the world. This article explores the promise of smart irrigation systems based on new technologies. To meet the increasing demand for water in agriculture, this study presents an intelligent irrigation system that uses advanced technologies such as cloud computing, embedded systems, and the Internet of Things (IoT). The main objective is to demonstrate how this innovative strategy can effectively manage water resources and support food security through advanced agricultural technology. This article proposes a smart irrigation system based on advanced technologies such as embedded systems, the Internet of Things (IoT), and cloud computing as a foundational strategy to improve food security through the application of advanced agricultural technology. This system implements real-time monitoring of important environmental factors such as humidity, temperature, and water levels in smart agricultural practices.
