TILSHUNOSLIKDA MODALLIK KATEGORIYASINING STILISTIK XUSUSIYATLARI (O‘ZBEK, FRANSUZ VA RUS TILLARI MISOLIDA)

The study of modality problems in modern linguistics is still ongoing. Modal words express

the speaker's subjective attitude to the thought in a sentence and are widely used in oral speech. Modality

is a grammatical-semantic category that expresses the speaker's attitude to the thought being expressed,

and is of great importance in communication. Modality is expressed in French, Russian and Uzbek

through various means. For example, in French, modal verbs and modal words are used, and in Russian,

some modal verbs and words are used. Verbs, modal words and intonation are important means of

expressing modality in French. These words, which are used more in oral speech, reveal the

communicative-functional aspects of the language. The French language uses more complex systems in

expressing modality through its own syntactic structures. Modal words are expressed through lexical,

syntactic, and morphological means and are important in indicating the general content of speech in a

language.
