ANADOLU’DAN SİBİRYA’YA BİR AŞK MASALI: SEYBÖLMÖLÖK (SEYFÜLMÜLÜK)

The Seybölmölök tale was collected from the Tatars of the Omsk region. In this report, the Seybölmölök tale was compared with the Seybolmolök tale written in Old Anatolian Turkish in the 15th century, Seyful Muluk and Bedi‘ul-Cemal. In the comparison, it was seen that the Seybölmölök tale had great similarities with the Anatolian variant in terms of plot and important characters. This is important in terms of showing that the Turkish culture spread from Anatolia to beyond the Siberian geography formed a whole. In addition, it is seen that some differences emerged between the two narratives due to the influence of both the other cultures they interacted with and the geography. The geographical features of Central Asia, Siberia and the Urals and some traditional Turkish beliefs are clearly seen in the Seybölmölök tale. In the report, where the Comparative Text Analysis Method was used, the full text of the Seybölmölök tale translated into Turkish was also included.
