The article examines the pressing issues of using remote sensing (RS) materials in school geography. RS technologies serve as essential tools for monitoring environmental changes, modeling, and visualizing geographical processes. The study analyzes the inclusion and role of RS materials in the learning objectives and long-term plans of the model curriculum for geography in grades 9 and 10-11. Their advantages are also described. Additionally, the article discusses the application of RS materials in geographical education, drawing on the experiences of Germany, Turkey, and Russia, while emphasizing their benefits.
