In gender linguistics, it is important to study words forbidden to women in the Kazakh language and their origins. Gender studies the study of differences between men and women. The development of this science has led to a change in attitudes and requirements regarding men and women in every country. These changes are reflected in the Kazakh society. Because today in the Kazakh society there are opinions that the image of a woman and the language of a woman have changed compared to the previous period. The purpose of the article is to reveal various secrets of customs and traditions that have reached the present from ancient times, but are gradually disappearing, through personal names, to consider the problems related to secondary (indirect) naming. It is known that ethnolinguistics is a branch of language research that studies the relationship between language and culture, as well as knowledge of the world through different ethnic groups. In the presented article, a gender-conceptual analysis of the name investigation, finding and taboo words in the Kazakh tradition is made. In the analysis of the issues raised in the article, an overview of the researches of foreign and Kazakh linguists is made. Diachronic-synchronic description, ethnolinguistic, cognitive, semantic methods are used in linguistic analysis of taboo words. The theoretical importance of the article can be used as material for research works written in the direction of gender linguistics.
