The depiction of characters in 20 st century Azerbaijani stories is a profound aspect reflecting the life of the modern era and human psychology. Modern literature presents different and complex characters under the influence of changing social and cultural conditions. In Azerbaijani stories, the tension of personal life, family relationships, and the relationship of a person with society are at the forefront. Characters are often depicted as individuals struggling with internal struggles, moral difficulties, and trying to find their way in life. The characteristics of artistry are manifested in the language skills and composition of the writers. Modern Azerbaijani storytellers, using the richness of the language, influence the reader psychologically, philosophically, and emotionally. Symbols, metaphors, and other literary devices play an important role in revealing the inner world of characters. Short but deeply meaningful expressions are often used in stories, which increases the level of artistry.
