Nevāyî as an important iigure in showcasing the richness and beauty of the Turkish language in his works Nevāyî is a significant literary figure who successfully demonstrated the richness and beauty of the Turkish language in his works. While many of his contemporaries prioritized Persian and relegated Turkish to a secondary position, Nevāyî elevated Chagatai Turkish, the language of his time, into a classical literary language. Moreover, his works reveal not only his mastery of language but also his profound knowledge and expertise in various fields. One of the works that serves as the basis for this study is Bedāyi‘u’l-Vasaṭ, one of Nevāyî’s four Turkish divans. This divan compiles poems reflecting his transition from maturity to mastery. The work addresses a wide range of topics, from the hardships of daily life to moral values and different social archetypes. In this study, the appearance of seventy-two lexical items found in Bedāyi‘u’l-Vasaṭ in Turkmen Turkish has been examined. It has been observed that the seventy-two identified Turkish lexical items have continued to exist in Turkmen Turkish and Turkish, both of which belong to the Oghuz Turkic dialects. The presence of these seventy-two common Turkish words in Turkmen Turkish has been exemplified.
