ÂŞIK TÂHİRÎ’NİN ŞİİRLERİNDE TASAVVUF

Many minstrels have emerged within the minstrel tradition, starting from its first representatives to the present day. Among these minstrels, there are those who play instrument and recite poems improvised, as well as those who cannot play instrument and recite poems. Apart from the minstrels who play instrument and recite poems improvised, there are also poets who do not form a certain professional group, but express the taste, culture and life of the people in their poems, whom we call folk poets or folk minstrels. One of these folk poets or folk minstrels is Minstrel Tâhirî from Altunhisar. Minstrel Tâhirî, received his primary education in the neighborhood school in his town. It is known that he later studied in madrasahs in Bor and Kayseri and then returned to his town. Since his father was very wealthy, he had him educated in madrasahs and learned sharia and religious sciences. Therefore, since he received a madrasah education, it is seen that he dealt with the subject of Sufism along with many other subjects in his poems that he sang or wrote in syllables and in aruz. In this paper, the subject of Sufism that Minstrel Tahirî dealt with in his poems was discussed and interpreted.
