With his unique humor, superior wit, and wise jokes, Nasreddin Hodja is a common cultural value of the Turkish world. He became famous all over the world from Anatolia and became an original representative of Turkish humor. He chose to make people think while making them laugh with his jokes in solving human paradoxes. Hodja is a wise man who always has a ready answer and there is a funny protest approach in his jokes. The spread of Nasreddin Hodja jokes told with this approach in the Turkish world was realized through oral and written tradition. With culture carriers, manuscripts and printed works, Hodja existed wherever Turks existed. In fact, many nations claimed that Nasreddin Hodja lived in their own lands and claimed him. Nasreddin Hodja, known as Afanti in East Turkestan, Ependi in Turkmenistan, Nasriddin Afandi in Uzbekistan, Koca Nasır in Kazakhstan, Ependi in Kyrgyzstan, and Afanti among the Uyghurs, took place in Chinese culture in the 1950s. In this research, Nasreddin Hodja's jokes, their importance, and interpretations in the Republic of Turkey, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, the Balkans, and Uzbekistan were discussed.
