QIYLI ZAMAN ROMANINDA AT İLE İLGİLİ SÖZ VARLIĞI

Turks, who have lived a nomadic life on horseback throughout history, have considered horses as a part of their lives in order to fulfill this activity. Because the Turks were able to travel to distant lands and obtain food, drink and clothing thanks to horses. It is the Kazakhs who keep the horse culture alive among the Turkish communities. As in history, Kazakhs have benefited from horses in every aspect of their social life, used them economically, and used them in sports events. As in other Turkish communities, Kazakhs have named horses according to their coat color, temperament, lineage, speed, markings on their foreheads, various shapes on their bodies, walking style, age, etc., as a tradition inherited from the past. According to the findings, the Kazakh steppes are known as the birthplace of horses and horse breeding culture. This situation has created a high horse culture in the geography of Kazakhstan. This culture has created a rich vocabulary about horses and horse breeding. In this report, the vocabulary related to horse in the novel Qıylı Zaman written by Kazakh scholar and writer Muxtar Ävezov in 1928 was determined. The horse-related terms found in the text are classified according to the movements of the horse, the sounds it makes, the objects produced from the horse, the physical characteristics of the horse and the tools used for the horse.
