1905-1907 SİYASİ OLAYLARININ AZERBAYCAN MİLLİ BASININA YANSIMALARI: HAYAT VE İRŞAD GAZETELERİ GAZETELERİ ÖRNEĞİ

The years 1905-1907 represent a period of political and social crises in the Russian Empire, during which the people began to openly express their demands for freedom. During this time, Azerbaijan was an important region under Russian rule, struggling with ethnic conflicts and social inequalities. The Azerbaijani press played a crucial role in voicing the people's demands and drawing attention to social issues through prominent newspapers such as İrşad and Hayat. These newspapers actively followed political events, advocating for freedom and equality. The Armenian-Muslim conflicts in Azerbaijan and the oppressive policies of the Russian administration were frequently covered in the press, reflecting the people's reactions to these events. Across the Russian Empire, revolutionary movements disrupted social order, causing widespread fear and anxiety among the population. The influence of these movements was also felt in industrial cities like Baku. The press informed the public about these events and called for resistance against social injustices. Russian Turks, in particular, were uneasy about the new laws granting freedoms, as there was uncertainty regarding their implementation. Additionally, one of the most pressing concerns for the people was participation in the Duma and determining which political parties would best represent their interests. The Azerbaijani press played a significant role in raising public awareness, advocating for freedom and equality, and voicing opposition to social injustices. During this period, the press served as a vital platform for defending the rights of the people and supporting societal change.
