This article is devoted to the comparative analysis of the influence of globalization on cultural identity and on the change of family values in the modern world. Family values and traditions play an important role in the formation and preservation of cultural identity. However, in the context of globalization, changes in social life affected the institution of the family. Comparatively, one can observe a change in the structure of the family, social roles, which entailed a crisis of socio-cultural identity. Family values are the main foundation on which social identity is built and formed. The authors tried to analyze the change in family values using the example of sociological theories and approaches such as structural functionalism, exchange theory, feminist approach, etc. We made our own analysis identifying the positive and negative aspects of the influence of globalization on the change of family values.
