The field of music theory has been shaped by theorists operating on various ideas, interpretations, understandings and beliefs from past to present. Speculative music theory, which deals with the understanding and interpretation of the metaphysical mystery that exists around man, in other words, the relationship between ‘God-Universe-Human’ within the scope of cosmological and ontological discussions, the positioning of man in this network of relations, and the knowledge that is in a sense the subject of cosmic and ontological functioning, through music, has been interpreted and conveyed within the framework of symbolic thought blended with ancient knowledge, and has paved the way for the formation of a special field of symbolic expression in the tradition of music theory. It is seen that tendencies that envision an archaic intellectual model, especially in studies on interpreting and explaining the universe through music, have an impact on studies in the field of theory. One of the important factors that helped the knowledge constituting the cosmic and ontological foundations of the relations between ‘God-Universe-Human’ adapt quickly to the Turkish music theory narrative and the easy spread of the symbolic meaning network in question is the idea of ‘cosmic imagination’ and ‘world model’ that come to the fore in Turkish mythology. The study was prepared based on the question of 'how the intellectual understanding of Turkish Mythology facilitated the spread of speculative theory, which developed with philosophical understanding, especially to the Anatolian geography'. In this context, it is aimed to clarify the semiotic relationship in question by making a hermeneutic reading on theoretical texts influenced by philosophical orientations. Within this effort, the epistemological basis of the texts in question was touched upon through relational historical research, and the semiosphere formed by the conception of the world model themed on ontological and cosmological knowledge in Turkish mythology was attempted to be revealed.
